June was a month of blessings in the Spanish service. Here are some of those blessings from the Lord:
– We are now able to add more fresh content to our broadcasts from 3 different sources. The first source is Rony Rosell. Rony is a member of the church of the Lord, and is also a professor of history and Social Sciences in Santiago, Cuba. I came across some of his recordings through Facebook. He is a man who loves God and loves to share His message. I contacted him through another brother in Cuba. He was more than willing to share with our listeners his programs.
The second source is Leonardo Quintanilla. Leonardo is a young minister from Managua, Nicaragua, who has a call to minister to families. I met him digitally through a personal friend who is also a member of the church in Alabama. He loved the idea of increasing his outreach to families through La Voz Alegre.
The third source came through our partner Sixto Rivera. He was aware that in El Salvador a group of churches were producing 40 devotionals by 40 different speakers. Sixto asked them to give us permission to use some them. They were happy to oblige. I have been listening to those devotionals with the purpose of selecting those that are better fit for our purposes.
For a small budget radio ministry, to find people who are generously willing to share their content is surely a blessing. But wait… here is another blessing:
– After hard work renegotiating our contract with Trans World Radio, my partner Rex Morgan announced that the Lord blessed us with an all-around better contract.
We will be broadcasting La Voz Alegre in a better air time, (Wednesday 10:00 pm).
We will broadcast with the same power as before, (450,000 watts which still enables us to be heard in most Latin American countries). Also, it will cost us less!
Finally, they offered us to distribute our LVA programs to their 318 local affiliate radio stations in 24 Spanish-speaking countries, and encourage those stations to use them in their broadcasts. Praise God!
Please, pray for the Lord to do what we cannot do. That is to “touch” the hearts of those station managers and personnel so that they will feel moved to include La Voz Alegre in their programming. And also, pray that the Lord will work in the hearts of those who will be listening.
