Dear listeners, we are glad to announce the launch of new Russian language web site, www.knls.net. With updated concept of materials which include more information about cultural events, history of our stations, United States Churches of Christ history and news about Christian life in general, we are trying to make our site more visual and interesting for you. Also, soon we will have simultaneous streaming of our programs along with shortwave broadcasting.
In today’s world—full of negative thoughts and hostile intentions—it’s hard to find peace. Any kind of peace. It has gotten so bad that people choose to turn their heads the other way and close their hearts when they hear bad news or see a person or even a nation in distress. Because negative things are all around us all the time, we would rather focus on ourselves and our immediate piece of the world than to think about needs of others. Since we cannot help everybody, we’d better help ourselves, right? Well…, no, not entirely. The Bible offers much more in our attitude toward our inner world. We discuss it with Damir Kramaric in his new series, “Joy of Peacemaking.”
Moses’ story is told in the Book of Exodus, but it starts in Genesis with the story of Abraham and his family with whom God makes a covenant. Generations later the Biblical Moses draws the extended family together in the form of a nation with a structure and code of law, given to him on Mount Sinai. We continue to study the Old Testament in the series, “Book of Books.”
Importance of baptism in the life of every man: is baptism sprinkling, pouring, or immersion? And what does the Bible say? We study the roots and meaning of Greek words in the series “Christianity for beginners.”
We have a number of projects under development that might be interesting to you. Come and download numerous Christian books, listen to our programs, see several video lessons based on Russian Christian art, take a look at pictures of beautiful Alaska.
Thanks for reading and for listening!!
