One of the most helpful events in the life of any broadcaster is to meet with listeners and get first hand feedback on programming and reception. Senior Producer Konstantin traveled to Russia and met with our long time listeners. Meetings were very productive and we received good input and some great ideas on how to improve our programs, as well as several good suggestions on more appropriate frequencies. Thank you Moscow Dx-ers for warm and helpful meetings!
Many great teachers have lived but none like Jesus of Nazareth. Truthfully spoke the men who had been sent to take him when they returned: “Never man spoke like this man.” At the close of many of his lessons we read, “The people were astonished at his teaching, for he taught as one having authority and not as the scribes.” We continue the study of life and teaching of Christ in continuation of programs “Son of God.”
In the series “Book of Books,” we discuss the Book of 2 Peter. The evidence from early Christian writers that Peter wrote 2 Peter is less than that for other New Testament books, but far greater than that any book excluded from the New Testament. The first citation by name by a church father comes from Origen at the beginning of the third century; the book appeared in papyri copies in Egypt before that. Eusebius says that Clement of Alexandria had it in his Bible at the middle of second century.
We have a number of projects under development that might be interesting to you. Come and download numerous Christian books, listen to our programs, see several video lessons based on Russian Christian art, take a look at pictures of beautiful Alaska, the home of our first radio station, KNLS.
Thanks for reading and for listening!!
