How good it is to trust God and his promises even more by living in days like these where everything is out of the ordinary! We are living a pandemic with Covid 19—Corona Virus—spreading worldwide at unbelievable speed. People are scared, countries quarantine and curfew, schools and universities closed. All this to control the virus that spreads with great speed.
Strange to think about this scenario because months ago we were all thinking about trips, retreats, church meetings, family gatherings. Now we find ourselves trapped in our own homes. Stocks of groceries ending up in supermarkets and domestic stocks increasing. Lack of alcohol in gel, silicone gloves, masks etc. Literally a scenario of war without war.
Corona Virus
From all of this we can get a very important lesson, which is: Despite all this we have to trust in God! Pray for the sick, pray for the virus to stop, and pray for the vaccine to be found.
Viruses and outbreaks come and go, but after all this, will we be more firm in God? I can tell you sincerely that I have never seen anything cause such panic in Brazil as this virus, but we have to take this opportunity to speak about God’s love.

Thinking about it, I see how the media are so important, because with many idle people in your home, looking for what to do, is that we can insert the message of God in their lives. By the grace of God the Word Alegre program has entered family homes across Brazil and the world, we have reached hearts that we personally would not have, but through the radio we have!!!
We need to take advantage of this moment of tension, seclusion, thinking about life and its value and bring people’s memories the real meaning of life, that there is a God who cares and takes care of each one of us.
The Bible says in Psalm 121
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.”
In times of virus, wars, lack of control, loneliness, lack of peace or whatever it is, we need to raise our eyes and trust because help comes from the Lord. When we are discouraged or even afraid, we need to remember Psalms 56: 3 that says: “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You”
May we all pray, and ask for God’s help, always trusting Him, and taking advantage of every opportunity that He gives us to speak of His love and the plan of salvation, whether in person or through radio waves! May God bless!
