Who of us doesn’t like to celebrate? Who of us who doesn’t like a delicious cake or pie, be it sweet or salty. The truth is that most of us, each one of us, likes to celebrate and / or celebrate in some way.
In the Bible in the book of John, chapter 2, we see the story in which Jesus went to a wedding and there he played the famous miracle of turning water into wine.
5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. 7 Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. 9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. 10 And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”
Maybe you are wondering, why talk about celebration in October? The reason is that this October we are celebrating two years that we have been promoting the dissemination of the word of God through short wave, the internet, Instagram, Facebook and many other ways in the Portuguese language. WCB has been increasingly striving to spread Jesus’ powerful message to the whole world in the native language of each nation.
Brazil of population
We celebrate the unique opportunity to know that 2 years ago the Brazilian population, today with more than 209 million inhabitants, as well as everyone who understands the Portuguese language, can listen, wherever the Good news of the kingdom of God is. We also had several QSL cards sent, people who studied and have studied the word of God, we also had baptism and our collaborator Giovanni Vantuil has always studied and helped people to grow in their Christian journey. Giovanni daily records messages from the book of Proverbs.
Finally, as I said, this month is indeed a month of celebration and why not celebrate all these achievements of our program by short wave?! Why not celebrate the great and immense work of WCB as well as the Senior Producers of all our other languages who always seek to do their best! We are very happy with all that is happening with our program, and even more so with all those who were and are visionaries supporting in prayer, financially and in various ways. We’ve only been on the air for two years, but God is Great, and we still have a long way to go to bless more and more lives!
