Hello to all of you and may God continue to bless your life in these very abnormal and different days in which we are living. I want to remind you that despite all this, God remains God and He continues to work! Everything is under His control and everything that happens is under His government. Many people in times of difficulty seek God, others take this time to meditate even more on everything He has done.
These days we still cannot see the purpose of all this, and we may never know. But the fact is that we need to trust and take advantage of this time to seek more and more the love of God.
As happens every year, the month of April is special because we have a social dinner, but different from all other years—because of the quarantine we were unable to have a face-to-face dinner. On the other hand we had a beautiful message and presentation from our President Andy Baker on the website. In addition, there was a video presentation of everything we have done and produced during the year. You can view or review in this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GhAdBFckcM
April was also an atypical month for all WCB producers and employees. Because of the corona virus all employees had to stay in their homes, a fact that made KNLS transmissions and all new Madagascar World Voice content impossible. During this period, we did not have the means to send the new audios and programs to MWV. We have really gone through a totally different and challenging time.
Given this period when we would no longer be able to send new content, what to do? The truth is that each person had their own way to adapt to the changes. One of my initiatives was to have quality time with the people I love, so I took the time to play more with the kids, to camp with them at home, to return to my childhood games and to make the most of quality. Everything so that after that period and also much later, they can joyfully remember the time they spent in quarantine.
During this period, I was able to talk a little more with Gayle Crowe, so every Tuesday morning we have a chat about what we have been doing and how we have dealt with all the challenges of the quarantine and of course, training my English. And of course, also to fix some things at home like painting the walls and minor repairs.
I used that time in things related to my relationship with God and with the children, implementing more quality time with the children so that they get to know more and more about God and his love. Of course, initiatives like this need to be maintained and many other good habits created during quarantine and throughout our lives.
In addition to all this, I am also having the opportunity to help the church I attend, in the production and editing of the content for the online worship service. In that time when we cannot be together physically, these weekly services have been a refreshment for all of us. These internet worship services have contributed to the maintenance of communion and love between the brothers and sisters.
Finally, even though we are not sending new audios, many of the writers of Palavra Alegre remain active, sending excellent contributions to our programming. I eagerly want to send all this content to our listeners.
I want to end this report with three verses that I really like, mainly because they remind me that God remains in power and He renews our energies, our strengths and everything we do each day
“This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:21-23
May God Bless You All !
