Just about every listener who wrote to us, asked if we are fine. They have been praying for America and for situation around the world to get better in near future. Thankfully reminded by the listeners, indeed we are a family, not intimidated by Covid-19, but by loving and helping each other in the midst of death and struggles due to pandemic. This common interest which unites mankind also leads our efforts in program production. We aim to connect listeners with hope, love, faith, and assurance of life eternal that can only be found in God through Jesus.
The front and center of our programming during this past Christmas holidays is the birth and the life of Jesus Christ. Mr. Xu Yang, a classical Chinese storyteller, narrowed for our listeners one story of the life of Christ from birth to death and resurrection each day. Yang’s narration started our programming day with a theme and followed with various segments illustrating God’s love and truth which free us from shackle of sins and fear of death. We also produce several programs about repentance. We encourage listeners to respond to Jesus’ birth with repentance and faith which are more important than vaccine. For Faith and repentance are indispensable if we want to be saved by Jesus and when we ask God for help in time of needs including need for healing from and avoiding contracting the Coronavirus. The pandemic and Christmas holidays present us opportunities for evangelism.
Not to lose sight of God’s blessings: A special blessing from God is that Ms. Theresa Lee, daughter of our dear co-worker, Shumei, got married on December 21 in Los Angeles, California. The many blessings from relatives and friends, together with God’s blessings of the great weather and the church building filled the heart of the newlywed couple and their loved ones, for which Shumei is extremely thankful. May our Father God bless them in each day of their lives forward.
As we launched Chinese Bible reading on Internet I last November, people around the world have noticed and tuned in. In the initial month hundreds of listeners listened to the word of God on our internet service from areas and nations including the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, France, China, Taiwan, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Italy, Indonesia, New Zealand, Russia, United Kingdom, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, Germany, Spain, Austria, Netherlands, Romania, Portugal, Ukraine, Philippines, Jamaica, Serbia, Ethiopia, Switzerland, Israel, Paraguay, Belgium, Tanzania, etc. We thank God for each one of these listeners.
