I was driving on the freeway when a strange billboard caught my eye. It read, “Need Mental Implants?” I thought, what in the world is that?! I did a double take only to see that it actually said, “Need Dental Implants?” Ah, well, my bad!
Then I thought, wouldn’t it be great if we can really get “mental implants.” Who wouldn’t like to receive a mental implant of joy, hope, or forgiveness? I was pretty amused by the idea. A few miles down the road, I came across another billboard. This one read, “Jesus offers Peace, Hope, and Rest!” I said to myself, it does exist and here it is!
It’s all in the mind. That’s why the Bible teaches us, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
This is what we offer our listeners every day. We “implant” the seeds of the good news; we “water” the seeds with the only source of Living Water; and we rejoice when we get to “gather” the harvest.
One of our latest series is titled “We Succeed Together.” It presents the idea that we can go to God for all our daily matters, big or small, and that He wants to be involved if we let Him. God is always there for us; all we have to do is talk to Him.
As we start the fourth quarter of what could only be described as an unprecedented year, we continue to pray that the Lord may use every word, every segment, and every program that goes on air to touch people’s lives, to open their eyes and to change their hearts.
“For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.” (Romans 8:6)
