We want to congratulate our listeners in Kenya on a successful election on August 9 of 2022. We were praying for peace as you cast your ballots for governors, senators, MP’s, and county assembly members. We congratulate Deputy President William Ruto the president-elect in Kenya for becoming the winner among four other contestants. We wish him God’s blessing, courage, and wisdom as he takes on his oath of office on August 30. We will continue to send God’s messages through our shortwave radio and on the internet to our listeners in Kenya and pray for your country’s leadership. We also congratulate Angola President Joao Lourenco for winning the country’s election which was held on August 24 to be sworn in for his second term in office. We wish the people of Angola God’s blessing, peace, and spiritual and economic prosperity in this oil-rich former Portuguese colony. May God be honored in your lives.
There are several African countries on our prayer list this month that are going to hold elections in 2022 and we want to devote this segment of our report to request special prayers for every one of them. There are many listeners of the AfricanPathways radio program in each of these countries and we are concerned not only about their spiritual well-being but also about their physical well-being, peace, justice, and security of their lives and properties. Lesotho will hold elections in October of 2022 and we pray for them. Sao Tome and Principe will hold elections in December of 2022, we pray for them. Sierra Leone will elect her leaders in December 2022 and our prayers go to all Sierra Leonians. The country of Sudan will elect a new president, the council of states, national assembly members, state legislatures, state governors, and local government officials in December of 2022, our prayer for free and fair elections and peace for all Sudanese.
At World Christian Broadcasting, we care about peaceful governments all over the world and we pray for God to get into the hearts of all the people wherever they may be. Like Paul the Apostle to Timothy; “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth,” 1 Timothy 2:1-4.
Blessings.
