We extend our condolences to our listeners in Tanzania (east of Africa) on the passing of President John Magufuli. Mr. Magafuli died from heart disease at Mzena hospital in Dar es Salaam where he was receiving treatment, according to the vice president Samia Suluhu Hassan.

World Christian Broadcasting congratulates the first female president of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan, who was sworn in Friday, March 19, 2021, two days after the death of President John Magufuli. We wish the new president God’s guidance and protection. One of incoming President Hassan’s highlights is her work in encouraging her fellow Tanzanian women to stop battling with their husbands over supremacy to create a peaceful home friendly for their children’s proper upbringing. She is known for making this statement, “Some of you will say we are equal in all aspects of society. No! That’s not the right position; even in my high office, I will kneel before my husband. I don’t kneel because l am inferior; it’s because of love and affection.” She has promoted the rights of women and children in keeping with the Tanzanian culture.

In the last few months, we have contacted several people of faith, preachers, Bible teachers, women who teach the women and children classes within the sub-Saharan Africa Christian communities. With the advantage of technology, they are beginning to send programs to us. This month, we have received programs from presenters in three countries (two men and one woman teaching biblical principles from their cultural background). We believe that our listeners will appreciate our programs’ diversity coming from different countries within sub-Saharan Africa.

Effective March 28, 2021, African Pathways programs from our short wave radio will broadcast from the frequency of 11825 at 400 UTC, 13670 at 1800 UTC, and 11965 at 2000 UTC. Please tune in, keep praying and keep the faith. Our God is actively at work.
