Welcome to August! We begin the 8th month of the year knowing that we still have many proposals and new features to implement until the end of the year. Therefore, this month we are starting a reformulation of our website. Our idea is to create a website that is faster to load and more attractive to our audience.

Our team has been looking for alternatives and possibilities for improvement, to generate even more interest in visitors and the public’s permanence on our website. So stay tuned! We are going have news soon!

 Baptism

In July we began a series of studies on baptism with Nilton Barreto. This series is made up of several lessons clarifying important questions such as: Why baptize? Who can receive baptism? and What is baptism for? Also in continuation of this series on baptism, Nilton also recorded two series: These are the Good News and Sin.

We continue to translate and record Gayle Crowe’s series on Encounters with God and record President Andy Baker’s Words to you series.

We ran an Instagram campaign with a special invitation for people to study the Bible. From this campaign, we started the Bible study with Jaqueline and we still have 11 other contacts who want to study but have not yet scheduled a start date..

We continue recordings about Health Care with Thalita Pires and tips on citizen rights with Elis Menezes.

We have been receiving contacts from various places in Brazil and around the world through our email, letter or even through the WhatsApp application. However, today I would like to transcribe the email we received from Russia. Our listener’s name is Eugene Kornykhin:

I would like to present to you my report on listening to your radio station’s broadcast. First, a little about me. My name is Eugene, I’m from Moscow, Russia. I’m 39 years old and I work in computer science. I recently discovered the shortwave craze!

It’s great to hear the voices of distant countries and cultures. Radio broadcasts to Russia from Madagascar KNLS. It became interesting for me to get acquainted with the program in Portuguese, because I like the Portuguese language.

Now I would like to happily present my new report on listening to shortwave broadcasts. Unfortunately I do not know Portuguese, but that does not stop me from enjoying listening to your program. It seems that your program consists only of Acappella music. It is very interesting. I repeat this music in my head and I have the impression that it is gentle, sincere and even intimate. Amazing experience! This rarely happens. A very pleasant experience. It is like a frank conversation when people open their souls to each other.

It’s great that your program is broadcast on the radio! I especially remember the acappella performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s Wedding March.

Without further ado, hugs.

 Eugene Kornykhin

I conclude my WGO by wishing everyone a great August and encouraging us all to be strong and courageous in seeking the Lord as it is written in Deuteronomy which says:

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”. Deuteronomy 31:6

God bless you all
