Bible Stories in Video for Children
One of the goals our team set for this year was to start the process of including children’s programs in our website, App and broadcasts. Mission accomplished! The Lord blessed us through our brothers at Good News Productions International. They have graciously given us permission to use their audiovisual media as we see fit, as long as we use it to freely share the Gospel of Jesus with others. We feel so blessed by their gracious attitude.
According to their website, the purpose of GNPI is to “create relevant media to proclaim the Good News and empower Jesus followers to do the same.” Guess what? That is what we are all about at World Christian Broadcasting.
The first series we’re making available through our website and App is called Amazing Stories (“Historias Asombrosas”in Spanish). “Amazing Stories is a series of 20 animated videos featuring Bible stories told from an eyewitness perspective. Ten stories are from the Old Testament and ten are from the New Testament. Amazing Stories collectively shares God’s redemptive narrative across all of Scripture.”
These animated videos are two to four minutes long and are an entertaining way to hear some all-time favorite Bible stories. What is best about the way these stories are presented is that they focus on getting to know the God of the Bible, and, of course, they all point to Jesus.
These stories can be used in different ways. Through our App, parents may use the stories as a tool in teaching their children about God, Jesus, and the Bible. They can also be used in the church classroom. Teachers may use them as a starting point in their lesson or as an illustration. We plan to use the stories, converting the videos to audio, and broadcasting them in our programs. In case you are asking whether we lose something by getting rid of the video, the narration in Spanish is so professionally done that it will be equally effective. Next month we plan to talk about another series from GNPI created for children and adults that we will add to our media.
