Introducing Jesus

March ended in worldwide celebration of Jesus’s resurrection. While talks about Jesus is still in the minds of some listeners, we began April with follow-up introductions of the divine qualities the disciples observed in Jesus when they were with Him. We also talked about how Jesus’s disciples, past and present, demonstrated Christ’s characteristics and deeds under various challenges. Some of the attributes we covered in April included love, compassion, mercy, kindness, forgiveness, patience, holiness, trustworthiness, gentleness, and humility.

To reinforce the meaning of the resurrection of Jesus, another focus of our April programs included the new habits emerging in the lives of Christians, past and present, as a result of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. Program highlights included disabled individuals beginning to serve others, former gang member repenting and becoming evangelistic for Christ, forgiveness within family members, a Christian lady beginning teaching the Bible to other ladies, and many Christians pursuing the fruits of the Spirit. This can be as simple as smiling toward people in their daily lives, etc. Listeners learn from us the formation of these godly characteristics and habits are the works of the Holy Spirit.

Another concept that listeners gained in recent programs is that Jesus stands out among the great human beings, not because how good a person he was, but because of what Jesus was asked to do by God for human beings. Jesus was asked to demonstrate God, to show the relationship He has with God, to announce the truth and prophecies of God, to sacrifice himself for atonement of mankind, and to demonstrate the promise of eternal life through His life, death, and resurrection. No other human being has been asked to carry out these tasks, but Jesus. This is why there is no other name under the sun other than Christ Jesus by which we can be saved. What Jesus did changes lives. Changes witnessed in Christians’ lives demonstrate the power of faith in Jesus. As a result, Christians find new purposes of life and devote themselves to the fulfillment of God’s will in Christ Jesus.

Also, our programs in April helped listeners to learn that God sent Jesus and the Holy Spirit to demonstrate the invisible God who is a Spirit. So, Bible verses related to the relationship between Jesus and God were selected. These verses demonstrate Jesus’s faithful obedience and genuine representation of what His Father is. We selected Bible verses concerning faithful recording of Jesus’s teaching by the apostles through the Holy Spirit. Our April broadcast built awareness of trustworthiness of the Bible as the divine word of God. In application, we encourage listeners to read and study the Bible together with their children, so their children could receive the benefits of knowing God through parents’ efforts made by listeners.

At last, we talked about the importance of Jesus’s church. Church secures a place of worshiping God. Church provides the place where people can learn about God and about how to love each other as Jesus does. Church is a place to which people of God find acceptance and belonging. Church is where evangelism and benevolence go out to people far and near. Our 2024 fundraiser is an example of the evangelism effort of the churches of Christ.

Finally, we like to take this opportunity to thank you for being an important part in the ministry of World Christian Broadcasting. Through your prayer and support, WCB is able to maintain daily operation and to reach more people for Christ. Please pray and tell others about what we do together. May God bless you.
