There is a biblical anchor in Chinese daily radio program. Each day listeners are introduced to one chapter of the Bible. The motive is to offer a platform in our one-hour radio program for God to talk to our listeners directly. Most non-Christian listeners are foreign to the fact that the Bible is the word of God. Many of them probably have never listened to God’s word being read to them. But, that is changing due to our efforts. As they listen to our Chinese radio program, the Holy Spirit is talking to each listener, we pray.
Besides the Bible chapter, various segments are selected to produce the hour-long daily program, some complimentary to verses in that chapter to enhance understanding of God’s word. Some segments might have nothing in common to the Bible content. The purpose and reason of such arrangement is to insure that our daily program is balanced and listener friendly.
In the month of May several Epistles of the New Testament were among the selected Bible anchor, such as Colossians, the Timothies, Titus, and Philemon, etc. Along with them we also feature a daily devotional segment on the life of Jesus based on the Gospel Mark, produced by one of our stringers Mr. Gao. This is to show how well Jesus’ teachings were passed down to churches by the Apostles whom had witnessed Jesus and what he did.
Special holidays also render us opportunities to witness God and His wonderful works, particularly holidays that are universally celebrated, such as Mother’s Day. Our Mother’s Day special features include how did Jesus took care of his mother, prayers for mother; understanding mother when she lost her husband and when her children left home after becoming adults; how to comfort mothers who gave birth to children who have special needs; and efforts made by godly mother who invites God into her home to bless her children, etc. We noticed an unusually high volume of visitors to our website during the Mother’s Day weekend. Thank God for this kind of encouragement. Please pray with us that God would talk to each listener and website visitor through our programs, touch their heart, and bring them back to Him on daily basis.
