Listener comment
Listener’s feedback is a window to evaluate how effective our work is. Their affirmation are always great encouragement to us, which we are responsible to share with you. A recent correspondence came in this week from China. The listener said, and I quote, “I want to thank you for your programs. I was in the valley of my life this last year. It was your radio programs that accompanied me and walked with me through the valley, which brought me inner peace and joy. Thank you. May God be with you in this new year, in that you could produce even better programs and could grow spiritually throughout the year as well. Grace.” We thank God for encouraging us with the heart-felt appreciation from this Chinese listener toward us. We want to share this “fruit” with you and hope that you are equally encouraged as well.
China
The new regulation set up by Chinese government for internet posting of religious material is put to practice March first of 2022. According to the regulation individuals and organization will have be approved before they can post religious material on internet platforms for people in China to view or to listen on line. We respect the government of China. Please pray for Chinese leaders and their people. Please pray for God’s guidance and wisdom be provided plenty to assist our ministry moving forward. May God continue using us to serve the Chinese people well wherever they are. Over the past thirty years, our programming has reflected our high respect and good will toward the government of China, which we believe, they know and is pleased toward us. Please ask God to bless the good relationship between the Chinese government and our ministry.
Programming
More fresh new Chinese programming are available since the beginning of 2022 due to efforts made by volunteers from church and stringers. Classic story teller, brother Xu, is sharing his new production of the stories of Ruth, Joseph, and Esther. “Encountering Jesus”, a series written by Gayle Crowe, is in the process of being translated as we speak. A Few stories are already on the air. Several Christian brothers have been volunteering their time and sharing their studies with our listeners through interviews done here in Franklin. A recent interview is about how could the elderly people love and serve the younger people well in a community. Brother Liang uses apostle Paul’s conversation with elders from Ephesus (Acts 20: 16-35) to shed light upon three areas of attention elders need to pay to that could bless the younger generation in a long run, respectively the attitude of caution, depending on God’s word, and strengthening the weak. What I think the listeners would enjoy hearing Liang is that he illustrates the three points with stories of real people living today.
As I close the March edition, I hope you find the report encouraging and comforting. Our God can do immeasurably more than all we ask and imagine according to his power that is at work within us. You have been faithfully prayed and supported this godly ministry of World Christian Broadcasting. The Chinese Language Service thank you. May God bless you and your family!
