The month of September was a very special month for Rádio Palavra Alegre. God is good and we see this every month every day we broadcast.
The first of our blessings in September was the conversion of a new soul to Christ. Our evangelist Angelo Souza started a study and that study ended in baptism. Gabriel, as in the conversions of the book of Acts, was baptized and now, as the word of God says, he is a new creature in Christ Jesus, he is born again.
Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See,here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Acts 8:36-38
Continuing our special month of September we had the participation of minister and writer Lou Seckler in our Live Segment talking about the Aroma of Christ, a very fruitful interview about the importance of exhaling the aroma that comes from God and not getting involved with the things that come from this world. Lou Seckler also told how he started the idea of writing literature for churches and new converts. In addition, he also spoke of his ministry with inmates in the state of Texas, United States.
Lou Secker was so excited with the interaction and the response of our Live Segment that he committed this month of October, the 3rd anniversary of Rádio Palavra Alegre, to do two more lives in this period. We are really happy for the reach of the Live Segment and for the people that have been reached with this segment.
Finally, the month of September was my vacation, but even on vacation I had the excellent opportunity to be with a group of 10 (ten) short waves listeners from northeast of Brazil and their families. The city chosen for the meeting was Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. The Meeting would be for an hour, where we would talk about shortwaves, WCB, Portuguese broadcasts and also other languages that we have in our schedule. However, the meeting was so intense and warm that it lasted for almost 4 hours!!
In this meeting I had the opportunity to personally meet Renato André, a young man with visual impairment of only 14 years old and with a lot of interest in getting to know God. This moment was even special because in addition to Renato attending our meeting, he brought his mother, his grandfather and also his grandmother. We would have at this meeting the presence of two more radio listeners but due to incidents they were unable to attend.
Listeners of Rádio Short wave in northeastern Brazil were also presented with promotional shirts from Rádio Palavra Alegre, which made listeners feel very special and were very excited. Finally, I had the opportunity to be the person responsible for delivering two shortwave radios to the winners of the draw they made in their WhatsApp group, of which there are dozens of participants.
