The Covid-19 epidemic brought tremendous changes the world over. In the United States, November 26 was the first thanksgiving millions could not unite with family members for the usual family meals and reflections. There were many empty chairs in many homes from their lost ones who have died from covid-19. We all lost friends and family members. We missed all hugs to and from our loved ones. Many churches lost their leaders, heads of states (considered the most influential people on earth) were not spared, children of all ages died of covid-19, affected the rich, the poor, ethnicities, races, religions, and all genders. Here are the lessons l learned from Covid-19. During the lockdown, mandatory face masks, and social distancing:
a. Sunshine was not on lockdown
b. Oxygen from the air was not on lockdown
c. Friendship and family values were not on lockdown
d. Love is/was not on lockdown
e. Prayer and Meditation was not on lockdown
f. Our hope and trust in God was not on lockdown
g. Jesus is still Lord and never on lockdown.
h. Our relationship with God is not on lockdown
From the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:35-39 (New Living Translation),
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
