November is the month of Thanksgiving and as we approach the end of 2020, we are reminded that we have a lot for which to be thankful. Thanksgiving is not a celebration that comes once a year. It is an attitude that we should live every day, even – or I should say, especially during the tough times. I think we all agree that 2020 has been a unique year, starting with the Covid-19 and all the fear and uncertainty that it brought all over the world.
At World Christian Broadcasting, we look back and give thanks to the Lord for the many blessings He has given us through the years.
We are thankful for our leadership who carry the heavy burden of steering the ship and maintaining the vision no matter what it takes.
We are thankful for the Board of Directors who provide their guidance, share their expertise and help with fundraising.
We are thankful for the staff and volunteers, from different ethnic and linguistic backgrounds, who dedicate their lives to spreading the message of salvation and taking the good news to the far corners of the world.
We are thankful for the supporters who generously give of their money, time and most importantly prayers.
We are thankful for KNLS that has been on the air for over 37 years, covering half the world with the good news message in English, Russian and Chinese.
We are thankful for the amazingly strong signal of MWV, which covers the other half of the world in Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and African services, in addition to the original languages.
We are thankful for open doors and new opportunities to be part of the Great Commission, especially in this critical time of human history. Our Arabic programs are now aired twice a day on VOH’s local 1287AM in Israel and surrounding countries.
We are thankful for our stringers in the middle east who continue to produce relevant Arabic programs for on-air broadcasting and social media platforms, especially in the time of a pandemic.
We are thankful for the listeners’ responses that we received literally from all over the world—people we have never met and will probably never meet this side of heaven, but they tuned in to our broadcast.
We are thankful for the hardships, trials and needs because they bring us closer to each other and to the Lord, who carries us through, provides for us and glorifies His Name in all our circumstances.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1)
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
