The year 2020 is passing very fast! We are already in 9th month of the year, a totally atypical year for everyone we have ever lived in. In Brazil, we live in a moment of instability regarding the containment of the corona virus. Schools are still closed, some private schools operating with online classes. The prediction is that the face-to-face classes will not return until February 2021.

This whole situation completely changes people’s lives. However, it also opens the opportunity for people to be more sensitive to the love of Christ. Therefore, we can understand this moment as an opportunity to speak even more about the word of God. With that in mind, we made contact with World Bible School and ended up receiving a donation of over 120 correspondence courses, made available by Tim Brumfield, one of the representatives of the World Bible School in Brazil.

These courses talk about the Christian faith, the family of God, about baptism and how to become a Christian. All of this gives us a great power to spread the Word of God.

Another method we are using to evangelize during this pandemic period is to send the messages we recorded via Whatsapp. Whatsapp is an app for sending text, video and audio. It’s very common and used on a daily basis by most Brazilians. The range of audios is really incalculable since people share to their contacts and so on.

Our collaborator and evangelist Angelo Souza has also studied with a couple in the city of Betim. In addition, Angelo and I have recorded and committed ourselves effectively to evangelization through the Program Palavra Alegre. God has been blessing us with the sending of courses and the face-to-face evangelism done by our brother Angelo.

Finally, I want to leave a verse for reflection during this moment that we are going through:

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18

May God bless you all with a great September!
