We started another year! And as I said last month 2019 went by very fast. Each New Year brings us an invitation to start over, to change, to hope that something new and good will happen to us, hope that we are going to put into practice goals, plans, and dreams that were not done the year before.
At World Christian Broadcasting it is not different. The year has just begun and we have already prepared our plans for 2020, set goals and challenges.
This year, however, starts different for all radio producers. Especially for me, because a great friend, brother and work partner retired. It is true! December was Gayle Crowe’s last month at the helm of WCB jobs and for me this retirement brings a mix of happiness and sadness because even though I’m not daily in Franklin, Gayle has been a great companion and friend since my first day on the radio.
During the week, in our conversations on Tuesdays, we had the opportunity to align our goals and of course to talk a little about the blessings and challenges of our week, thus strengthening our friendship relationship.
Gayle has devoted himself to his radio work for years, first as a counselor and in recent years as a vice president, coordinating senior producers. Last December 16, he turned 77 years old. It’s time to enjoy the grandchildren, spend more time with beautiful wife, Lisa, and enjoy some trips!
In this article I want to thank Gayle Crowe for his time dedicated to God through his work at WCB, which he performed with dexterity and mastery. For my part, thank you for the welcome, guidance, patience, and affection with me.
We’ll miss you on the radio but we know you need that time. God bless you in your retirement and keep using you as a blessing vessel wherever you are. The Bible says,
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58.
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labor: other men labored, and ye are entered into their labors. John 4:35-38
Thank you, Gayle, for planting! Today and for many years we will be reaping the fruit of your work that certainly was not in vain. If we have a word to say, THANK YOU. GOD BLESS YOU!
